About the Avant Car Company

Avant Car is a young company; nevertheless, it employs a staff having years of experience in running a rent a car business that began in 1979 when the tourist company Globtour started offering rent a car services. For more than 20 years it gained experience in running a rent a car business, obtained new clients as well as earned an international reputation. It operated under the licences of Inter Rent, Eurodollar, Budget, Sixt until 1997, and from then on it has been licensed by National Car Rental. Acquisition of the NCR licence brought numerous changes into the rent a car department, since the new management and the ambitious team prepared a strategic plan based on building up the clients' confidence. In 2003, the Globtour Company decided, on the basis of a strategic analysis, to sell the rent-a-car department which has become an independent company Avant Car operating on the same locations and with the same personnel.

Avant Car has a fleet comprising more than 300 vehicles and provides various services to individuals as well as to companies. Avant Car ranks as one of the top rent-a-car companies in the Slovenian network.

The vehicles we rent are the product that we market. We provide our clients counselling as to which type of vehicle would be appropriate to satisfy their needs; we further provide a comprehensive service which, in addition to vehicle rental, comprises advice concerning the use of the vehicle, assistance in case of a car trouble and ensuring additional information concerning the best traveling routes, accommodation, info guides and places worth seeing in Slovenia.

Avant Car not only offers vehicle rentals, but provides also services including delivery and collection of rented vehicles in Slovenia, vehicle rentals with a chauffer, long-term rentals for business purposes, reservations abroad through National Car Rental worldwide, and so much more.

All our vehicles are less than twelve months old; they are equipped with air-conditioning, audio system with a CD-player, basic safety equipment, etc. We offer the following makes of vehicles: Mercedes, Opel, Citroen, , Fiat, Renault, Hyundai, Honda, Smart. As regards the type of vehicles, you can rent cars, vans, mini-vans etc., all with or without a driver.

In Slovenia, vehicles can be rented at our branch offices in Bled, Portorož, Maribor, at our head office at Dunajski cesta 140 in Ljubljana and at the Brnik Airport. We are at your disposal 24 hours a day and if our clients wish we can deliver vehicles free of charge to a hotel or, provided that the rental exceeds three days, to any location.
