Ljubljana

Ljubljana is the capital and the largest city of Slovenia with a little below 300.000 inhabitants. It is a university seat and the real geographical, financial and cultural centre of the country.

The general spirit would be a small, very clean and pleasant city to live in or visit. Ljubljana has a nice international airport it is a railway and motorway crossing (between main ways Salzburg-Zagreb and Trieste-Vienna), qite a few nice hotels and private rooms, so accesiibility and accomodation are very convenient. The city has a lot to offer architecturally (the old baroque-style town, castle etc.) and culturally with its summer festival and merry December festivals as its most prominent.
